Sleeping by Lac Gilman

The Lac Gilman area has about a dozen cabins for rent by the night or the week, most of them within a ten-minute walk of the town beach. The setup barely changes from one to the next: two bedrooms, a full kitchen, a wood stove for the cool nights that start in September.

Check before booking — travel cots and extra beds aren’t always included; ask when you reserve, not when you arrive.

Sheets and towels are usually provided, but some owners charge a separate cleaning fee for a single-night stay.

Pets are accepted at some cabins only — confirm directly, since it isn’t always noted in the listing.

The access road is gravel for the last kilometre; fine for a sedan, but plan to drive slowly if there’s a child asleep in the back.
